The Self-Love Superpower: We Are the Sperm That Made the Grade Through Jesus

The journey to discovering our true self begins with an intentional act of self-love. It’s not the superficial kind that fades when challenges arise but a deep, unshakable understanding of who we are in Christ. The first step toward embracing this truth is to tend to your inner garden.
This involves letting go of relationships—whether they’re with friends, family, or acquaintances—that no longer serve your spiritual or emotional well-being.
Relationships built on co-dependence or void of genuine love are not conducive to growth. It may feel difficult to release such bonds, but it’s an act of love and grace, both for yourself and for them. Wish them well but remember no one should take precedence over the healthy love you cultivate within yourself. Let nothing negative take root in your heart or mind, and free yourself to grow with divine purpose.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:2
Pay attention to your intuition—it is a God-given gift meant to guide you. Stop striving for the approval of others; it’s a pursuit that will only drain you. Instead, focus on pleasing Jesus. Unlike the ever-changing expectations of people, He is constant, and His love will never fail you. While it’s impossible to make everyone happy, you can rest assured that He is always pleased when you live in alignment with His truth. He will never let you down.
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” – Galatians 1:10
Honoring the Past, Embracing the Present
The commandment to honor our parents is one of the Ten Commandments, and it is still vital today. Whether or not we feel our parents lived up to our expectations, they gave us the gift of life. Their decision to bring us into the world, despite their flaws, is the reason we’re here today. It’s an opportunity for us to live out God’s purpose, to love, to uplift, and to create a positive impact in the lives of others.
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” – Exodus 20:12
We are all, without exception, the sperm that made the grade. This might sound lighthearted at first but consider the deeper meaning. Out of millions of possibilities, God chose you. Your life is not an accident; it’s the result of divine intention. Each life on this planet—yes, all 8 billion of us—has been designed with precision, purpose, and care. No one is exempt from this universal truth. Your existence is a miracle, and your story has meaning.
Truth of Faith - Author’s Note:
My father was born in the 1930s to an unwed mother, my beautiful grandmother, who was 38 and believed she was going through menopause. He was an only child, and his early life was marked by judgment and rejection from many, including my grandmother’s family, who should have been a source of support but, instead, chose to turn away due to prejudice and societal expectations. Because of this, my father faced immense challenges throughout his life.
Yet, as of April 2025, my father is in his mid-eighties, a father to five, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather with numerous great-grandchildren. What a beautiful legacy!
If my father had not been born, how different the world would be? His life, though difficult, has touched so many, and his legacy lives on through the generations that followed.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:13-14
Life’s Challenges Shape the Masterpiece
Every experience, whether joyful or painful, contributes to who we are today. The connections we’ve made, the places we’ve been, and the moments we’ve lived through—good or bad—are all brushstrokes on the masterpiece of our lives. Even the challenges, the heartbreaks, and the disappointments have a purpose. They refine us, teaching us resilience, faith, and compassion.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” – James 1:2-3
Many have College or University Degrees but remember you have a “Degree in Earth School Studies...with all exams orchestrated by the Most High God!
The key to unlocking the beauty of this masterpiece is self-love. But not just any self-love—this is a love rooted in Jesus. His grace is the foundation upon which we can build our confidence, strength, and peace. When we love ourselves in the way God intended, we see ourselves as He sees us: fearfully and wonderfully made, capable of greatness, and deserving of love.
Who are we to argue with God!
Rewrite Your Story with Intention
Each of us has a story, but we often forget that we have the power to rewrite it. Too often, we allow past mistakes or the opinions of others to define us. But through Jesus, we are given a clean slate every day. His love is transformative, and it empowers us to let go of the old narratives that no longer serve us. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
So, take a moment to reflect. What is the story you’ve been telling yourself? Is it one of shame, regret, or fear? If so, it’s time to rewrite it. Let your story be one of redemption, hope, and courage. Let it reflect the healthy self-love that Jesus calls us to live out each day.
You are not defined by your past, your mistakes, or your circumstances. You are defined by God’s love and purpose for your life. He doesn’t make mistakes, and He created you for greatness. Stand in that truth, and let it guide your every step.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10

The Masterpiece of Grace
We are the spark that defied the odds,
The chosen thread in the hands of God.
A masterpiece, woven through joy and pain,
Crafted in love, through loss and gain.
Through Jesus, we stand in grace renewed,
Every challenge faced; every storm subdued.
The garden of self, tended with care,
Blooms in His light, beyond despair.
We are more than mere moments, more than our past,
Anchored in truth, a love that will last.
Each life a story, a purpose divine,
Written by God, through His holy design.
So, rise, dear soul, and claim your space,
Live each day as a gift of grace.
For in your heart, His power is still,
Breaking all chains, erasing all stains.
A Prayer of Grace and Renewal
My Dearest Heavenly Father,
We come before You, humbled by Your boundless grace,
In awe of the masterpiece You are creating within us.
You have chosen us, each one, as threads in Your divine tapestry,
Woven with love, through joy and pain,
Crafted by Your hands, a work of eternal significance.
Lord Jesus, we stand before You, renewed in grace,
Thanking You for Your sacrifice,
For the storms You've calmed and the challenges You've led us through.
We pray that we may always tend the garden of our hearts,
Nurturing it with Your light, flourishing beyond despair.
Help us to remember that we are more than our past,
More than the fleeting moments we face each day.
Anchor us in Your truth, Lord,
And remind us that Your love is eternal,
A purpose divinely written in each of our stories.
So, rise in us, Holy Spirit,
Empower us to live each day as a gift of grace.
Fill us with Your strength,
Breaking every chain, erasing every stain,
That we may walk boldly in the freedom You provide.
We seal this prayer as complete and loved by the Mighty Name of Jesus and the Most Sacred Blood of the Lamb,
The Most Holy Amen

The Saviors Prayer and Accepting Jesus as Your King and Savior
"Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness.
I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead.
I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life.
I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
In Your Mighty Name Jesus,
Amen, Amen, Amen."
Psalm 118:24
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Your Word says in Isaiah 53:5,
“By His stripes, we are healed.”
The 10 Commandments Reminder
Here are the Ten Commandments, as listed in the Bible (specifically from the Book of Exodus 20:1-17, and also found in Deuteronomy 5:4-21):
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make for yourselves a carved image or any likeness of anything that is in the heaven above or on the earth below. Remember money and stuff is only stuff, not God. When you leave this earthly life it gets left behind.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor your father and mother. Don't take on their divine lessons God presents them with. They may have been a pain in the butt sometimes but remember it works both ways! They are part of our "Faith Walk" and we are part of theirs. We can't save them, only God can, however healthy boundaries are self loving. Sometimes we have to love them from a distance and accept their apology they never gave us. If you need a prayer to help you forgive and follow this commandment. I can help you with that so please reach out. faithwalkministries777@outlook.com
You shall not murder. This includes lies and slander where you destroy someone's reputation.
You shall not commit adultery. This includes looking at another that you aren't married to in any inappropriate way.
You shall not steal. If you steal anything, no matter how small, you are giving out the vibration to Abba Father of lack and that's what you will get more of!
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, wife, or possessions.
Be blessed my friend.
