God’s The Potter

Faith Walk with Jesus ©️

Life is a process of being molded and shaped, much like a potter works with clay. As followers of Christ, we are called to surrender ourselves to God, allowing Him to shape us into His masterpiece. This process can be both challenging and beautiful, as it requires trust, patience, and faith in God’s divine plan.

The imagery of God as the Potter and us as the clay is found throughout Scripture. It is a reminder of His sovereignty and our dependence on Him. Just as a potter carefully molds clay, God works in our lives to shape us into vessels for His glory.

“Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay; you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” – Isaiah 64:8

This verse paints a picture of God as the master craftsman, molding us with intention and love. But to be molded, we must first be pliable. That means surrendering our will, our fears, and our plans to Him. It is not always easy, but the outcome is a life that reflects His purpose and glory.

The Process of Being Molded

When a potter works with clay, the process begins with kneading and softening the clay to make it malleable. Similarly, God often allows us to go through situations that soften our hearts and make us receptive to His guidance. These moments may feel uncomfortable or even painful, but they are necessary for growth.

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” – Proverbs 16:9

As we allow God to mold us, we may not always understand His methods. There will be seasons of waiting, seasons of pruning, and seasons of abundance. Each of these plays a role in shaping us into the people God has called us to be. Trusting the Potter means believing that His design is far greater than anything we could imagine.

Staying on the Potter’s Wheel

The potter’s wheel is where the clay is spun and shaped into a vessel. For us, staying on the wheel means remaining in God’s presence and submitting to His will, even when life feels overwhelming. It requires daily prayer, study of His Word, and faith that He is working all things for our good.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

The Potter’s wheel is also a place of transformation. It is where God refines our character, strengthens our faith, and aligns our desires with His. Each turn of the wheel brings us closer to the person He has created us to be.

Trusting the Potter’s Plan

One of the most challenging aspects of being the clay is trusting the Potter’s plan. We may have our own ideas of what we want our lives to look like, but God’s design is always better. He sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us.

Your plans must include God’s Will, God’s Timing, God’s Grace and God’s love through discernment and the truth of God only. Otherwise, it is not of God. Don’t be fooled...God works in mysterious ways but so does the enemy!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Even when the process feels difficult, we can take comfort in knowing that God’s hands are steady, and His love is unchanging. He is not only shaping us for our benefit but also for His glory. The end result will be a life that reflects His beauty and grace.

Living as a Vessel for God

Once the clay has been shaped and refined, it is fired in a kiln to become a vessel. This ultimate step represents our readiness to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives. As vessels, we are called to serve, love, and glorify Him in all that we do.

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7

Our imperfections and weaknesses become opportunities for God’s power to shine through us. Just as a potter creates unique and beautiful vessels, God has designed each of us with a specific purpose in mind. Embrace the process and trust the Potter to complete the excellent work He has begun in you.

God’s The Potter

God is the Potter,

I am the clay,

Shaping my soul,

Day by day.

Mold me gently,

Refine my heart,

Guide my steps,

From the very start.

Clouds of glory,

Fill my way,

Sing to Jesus,

Every day.

God is the Potter,

I am the clay,

In His garden,

A beautiful display.

Through trials and peace,

I will obey,

For in His hands,

I am here to stay.

Walk in His presence,

Trust and pray,

God’s the Potter,

I am the clay.

“But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of Your hand.” – Isaiah 64:8

May we all continue to trust the Potter’s hands as He shapes us into vessels of honour for His glory. Rest in the assurance that His design is perfect, His timing is precise, and His love is everlasting.

May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ fill your heart as you surrender before Him. Let us pray:

A Prayer of Surrender to Lord Jesus:

Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a humble and open heart, ready to surrender all that I am to You. I lay down my burdens, my dreams, my desires, and my fears at Your feet. Lord Jesus, You are the Potter, and I am the clay. Mold me and shape me according to Your will.

I acknowledge that You are sovereign over every aspect of my life. Your wisdom is greater than mine, and Your ways are higher than my understanding. I trust in Your perfect plan for me, even when I cannot see the full picture. May I walk in obedience to Your guidance, trusting that Your timing is always perfect.

I surrender my will to You, Lord Jesus. Take control of my heart, my thoughts, my actions, and my future. I desire to live for Your glory, not my own. Let my life reflect Your love, Your grace, and Your truth.

I give You permission to transform me, refine me, and use me as You see fit. May I be a vessel of honor in Your hands, carrying Your message of hope and salvation to the world around me.

“Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay; you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” – Isaiah 64:8

Thank You for Your everlasting love, which never fails. Thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, who gave His life for me. May His precious blood cover me and purify me, making me whole again.

Lord Jesus, I confirm this prayer in Your name. May Your Holy Spirit seal it in my heart, now and forevermore. May Your will be done in my life, and may You be glorified in all things

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.

May the blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, cover you and seal this prayer, confirming it as true in the sight of the Most High. May His peace and His love dwell richly in your heart as you walk in His presence.

The Saviors Prayer and Accepting Jesus as Your King and Savior

"Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness.
I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead.
I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life.
I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
In Your Mighty Name Jesus,

Amen, Amen, Amen."

Psalm 118:24

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Your Word says in Isaiah 53:5,

“By His stripes, we are healed.”

The 10 Commandments Reminder

Here are the Ten Commandments, as listed in the Bible (specifically from the Book of Exodus 20:1-17, and also found in Deuteronomy 5:4-21):

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.

  2. You shall not make for yourselves a carved image or any likeness of anything that is in the heaven above or on the earth below. Remember money and stuff is only stuff, not God. When you leave this earthly life it gets left behind.

  3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

  5. Honor your father and mother. Don't take on their divine lessons God presents them with. They may have been a pain in the butt sometimes but remember it works both ways! They are part of our "Faith Walk" and we are part of theirs. We can't save them, only God can, however healthy boundaries are self loving. Sometimes we have to love them from a distance and accept their apology they never gave us. If you need a prayer to help you forgive and follow this commandment. I can help you with that so please reach out. faithwalkministries777@outlook.com

  6. You shall not murder. This includes lies and slander where you destroy someone's reputation.

  7. You shall not commit adultery. This includes looking at another that you aren't married to in any inappropriate way.

  8. You shall not steal. If you steal anything, no matter how small, you are giving out the vibration to Abba Father of lack and that's what you will get more of!

  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

  10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, wife, or possessions.

    Be blessed my friend.
